Terms of sale
The agreement between you and TAPR when you order through this site.
1. About these terms
These terms apply when you buy a TAPR NFC smart card from us through tapr.nz. By placing an order you agree to them. TAPR is a New Zealand business operating this storefront.
We may update these terms; the version published on this page at the time of your order is the one that applies to it.
2. Prices and payment
All prices are in New Zealand dollars and include GST where GST applies. Shipping is charged once per order at the rate shown at checkout, and rural delivery carries a higher rate because NZ Post charges us more.
Payment is taken through Stripe at the time you place your order. Your order is only accepted once payment has cleared and you have received a confirmation email.
3. What you're buying
You're buying one physical NFC card per card in your order, each supplied in its TAPR sleeve with the sign design matching the destination you selected.
Each card stores a permanent link operated by TAPR that redirects to the destination you chose. If you need that destination changed later, contact us and we'll repoint the card at no cost — the chip itself never needs reprogramming.
The card requires a phone with NFC or, as a fallback, a camera to scan the QR code. Phones without NFC cannot tap, but the QR code works on any phone with a camera.
4. Destinations you choose
You are responsible for the destination you ask us to link to, and for making sure you have the right to link to it. We don't control Google, Instagram or Facebook, and we can't guarantee that any platform will keep a given page or profile available.
We will not link a card to content that is unlawful, deceptive or harmful. If a destination is reported to us as unlawful we may suspend that card's redirect.
5. Delivery, returns and your consumer rights
We dispatch orders with NZ Post Economy tracked delivery after your cards have been programmed and tested. Delivery timeframes are estimates and are not guaranteed by us.
Our returns policy, including faulty-goods replacements, is set out on the shipping and returns page. Nothing in these terms limits your rights under the New Zealand Consumer Guarantees Act 1993 or the Fair Trading Act 1986.
6. Service availability
The redirect service is provided on a best-efforts basis. We aim to keep every card working at all times, and we'll give notice by email if we ever need to stop operating the service permanently.
We are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, including lost reviews, lost followers or lost revenue, arising from a card being unavailable.
7. Privacy
How we handle your personal information is set out in our privacy policy, which forms part of these terms.
