Privacy policy

We collect the minimum we need to sell you a card and keep it working.

What we collect

When you place an order we collect your name, business name, email address, phone number and delivery address. We need these to take payment, program your cards, post your order and contact you about it.

When a card is tapped we record that an interaction happened: which card, when, and whether it came from an NFC tap or the QR code. We do not collect the identity of the person who tapped it, and we do not use cookies or tracking scripts to follow them once they leave.

Payments

Card payments are processed by Stripe. Your card number is entered on Stripe's secure checkout and is never seen or stored by TAPR. We store only the payment reference, the amount and the status of the payment.

Where your data lives

Order and card records are held in our application database and are accessible only to TAPR staff through a passcode-protected admin console. We do not sell or rent your information, and we do not share it with third parties except where it's needed to complete your order — for example, your name and delivery address with NZ Post.

Your rights

Under the New Zealand Privacy Act 2020 you can ask to see the personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it where we're not required to keep it.

Order records are kept for as long as we need them for accounting, warranty and support purposes. Ask us and we'll delete anything we no longer need.

Cookies

This site doesn't use advertising or analytics cookies. Your browser may store a small amount of data locally so that a form or an admin session keeps working while you use the site.

Contact

Any privacy question, correction or deletion request can be sent to our support email address and will be handled personally.
